![]() ![]() Whether they tried hard enough to reproduce this and thus their yellow ink really doesn't cause this issue I cannot tell (yet). They state that they specifically checked their yellow ink for issues of gel like clogging as reported by Precision Colors. Prodinks offers bottles of 100 ml to 1000 ml at inexpensive prices, albeit not officially via their own webshop yet. I assume that you mean "the only" available in the US? In Germany I got a choice of three different ink manufacturers, all of which seem to offer the "REdSETTER" at different prices (originally these resetters were produces by/for Sudhaus/Prodinks). Go to the precisioncolors web site read up on the process and watch some videos which you are there. The only color your need to replace with a CLI-8 ( and CLI-42 chip ) is with the Yellow as you MUST begin with a VIRGIN Yellow cart without a trace of CLI-42 Yellow ink. Just buy a set of already flushed and modified for refilling from Precision colors.īetter yet, why do you just simply refill your CLI-42 that you will receive with the printer? You can simply add PC ink to the cart when it is declared empty after resetting the chip. ![]() You can not mix PC CLI_42 inks with remaining PRO-9000 MKII inks!!!!! NO!!!! The PRO-9000 inks is different in composition and color output to the PRO-100 so you would have to 100% flush your EBAY carts to a pristine condition, then you would have to modify them for refilling. Will this work? Any other suggestions? Any other ink resources to look at instead of Precision Colors? 3) I would fill the CLI-8 cartridges with the Precision Colors ink, use a chip re-setter to have the Pro-100 read full ink and then use the CLI-8 cartridges and re-fill when necessary. 2) After running out of ink from the original Canon CLI-42 cartridges that come with a new Pro-100, I would like to switch chips and put them onto the empty set I purchased on e-bay. Instead of re-using modified spent CLI-42 cartridges, here's what I'd like to do and here's what I'd like to know: 1) I'd like to buy from e-bay an empty set of CLI-8 cartridges sold for use on the Pro-9000 MK II. I understand the chips are different between the two types of cartridges. I've read that the Pro-100 uses the same cartridges that are the same as the CLI-8 cartridges which are used on the Pro-9000 Mark II. From what I've read, a good inkset is sold by Precision Colors. I would like to refill my own cartridges. I'm thinking about getting the Canon Pro-100 printer. I need to run this by some knowledgeable people. Will this work? Any other suggestions? Any other ink resources to look at instead of Precision Colors? Thanks. ![]() ![]()
